The DeW IT Right Tap microphones are two omnidirectional condenser lavelier microphones, with one connector, that are made specifically for Tap Dancing. They are reinforced at both ends of the wires to prevent breakage. The microphone is incased in a very durable metal to prevent damage to the microphone when accidentally stepped on. We have to different connector types: TA4F connector compatible with Shure Lav Pack Systems(Transmitter and Receiver), and 3.5mm locking pin connector compatible with Sennheiser Lav Pack Systems(Transmitter and Receiver) . The wires are incased in a thick durable rubber to prevent breakage and fraying over time.

No. There are no other tap mics like the DeW It Right Tap Mics on the Market(readily available). The DeW It Right Tap Mics are the ONLY lavalier tap microphones made specifically for tap dancing. There are other sound companies that make similiar lavelier microphones on a special order basis. However, these microphones are usually made for speaking and singing, making them very easy to damage when used for tap dancing. Also, the price of those mics are double to triple the price of the DeW It Right Tap Microphones.

To make your DeW It Right Tap Mics work you will need a transmitter and receiver, comonly known as a Lav Mic System. You will need to run the lav mic syatem and your mics through a sound board(with speakers), speaker system or speaker. Your mics are made to fit Shure Lav mic systems with a TA4F connection or a Sennhieser Lav mic system with a 3.5mm locking pin connector . I highly recommend that you speak with a sound professional(can be the sales person at the store) before buying your system to insure thst you buy the best system to support your needs and your geographical location.

Yes! In order for your DeW It Right Tap Mics to work with Lav Mic Systems other than Shure or Sennheiser, you will need an adapter for that system. If you contact the company you bought your system from, usually they can make the adapter for you. Sometimes a simple google search can find the adapter you need. For example, you can type into google, "Shure TA4F to Sennheiser 3.5mm Adapter". You can also search for a local or online Pro Audio store, and they usally can make your adaptor for you. The three most common places are on the bottom of your tap shoe near the arch of your foot right in front of the heel tap(recommended), the outisde of your tap shoe towards the middle of the side of your foot, and on the top of your tap shoes right below the laces.
